AT E. Sculpture, material, measurements.
An artistic idea by the Italian lyricist and painter Alfredo Rapetti Mogol
The work is part of the “Elementary Alphabetic Decompositions” series, where the artist continues his thirty-year work on signs and language. In this case, he takes common phrases and redefines the spaces between the letters of words to make them appear “other” at first glance.
The letters remain the same, but the aesthetic vision of the phrase changes, deconstructing the known and giving rise to something other, something different, that forces the viewer to make an effort to decode to reach the original meaning.
With AT E, A Te, the artist somehow brings you back to the wonder of learning to read again.
